Your hair and make-up trial is an essential part of your wedding preparations for many reasons.
Not only do you want to make sure that you get it right for the big day but it’s also a great opportunity for you, and maybe your mum or bridesmaids, to meet and build a relationship with myself or your make-up artist, in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere
Trials are usually carried out 1- 6 weeks before your wedding day. Due to the nature of most Saturday’s being booked with weddings, trials take place Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm. If a Bride is travelling home from abroad, for example, exceptions can be made subject to availability.
It’s preferable to have it done during daylight hours so that you can clearly see the make-up and know how it will look to your guests on your wedding day. Make-up that has been done in daylight will look good in any light and most importantly, on your photographs.
I will come to your home or venue of choice to do your hair and make-up trial or, if you are looking to keep travel costs down, you are welcome to come to my home in Eccles, Manchester.
By the time the day of your hair and make-up trial arrives, you would usually have an image in your head of how you want to look. It’s a good idea to have collected magazines or pictures as a visual starting point or a mix and match of a couple of pictures.
During the trial, important issues will be covered, in order to make sure that you feel comfortable, beautiful and confident on your wedding day these will include
- Make-up brands and colours to suit you.
- Hair styles – up or down, straight or curly.
- Tiaras and accessories.
- Themes and bouquets.
- Bridesmaid’s dresses/hair/colours.
- Bridal gown.
Once we’ve had a chat through all the details, I’ll style your hair and apply your make-up using professional product, tools and tricks of the trade.
The trial is to make sure you feel 100% happy with your ‘look’ so if there is something you don’t like or are not sure of, you MUST say as any adjustments can be easily made, that is the whole purpose of your trial and all that matters is that you can look forward to your wedding day with confidence.
