  • WHAT type of make-up will my Make-Up Artist use?

Each individual Make-Up Artist carries her own extensive make-up kit which will contain many different brands of make-up all of which are of a high quality (for example MAC or Bobby Brown) and will choose from her selection a product that is suitable for you in colour and texture.

  • DO I have to supply my own hair styling products like grips etc?

No, your Make-Up Artist will carry all her own appliances such as rollers, hair dryers, straighteners etc. Also products such as gel, hairspray, mousse, wax, grips, bands will all be supplied. However, we do not supply hair accessories such as tiara, flowers etc.

  • HOW long will it take on my Wedding Day?

Every Make-Up Artist has her own pace and this is also affected by hairstyle & make-up type.We roughly say that the trial should last around 1 hour and then on your Wedding Day allow 3/4 of an hour per person to include hair & make-up. This will be discussed further at your trial when she will have more idea as to what exactly needs doing - it could work out needing less or more time.

  • WILL it be the same Make-Up Artist on my Wedding Day as at the trial?

Yes, the same Make-Up Artist who does your trial (excluding accidents/illness - at which point every effort would be made to find a replacement) will be with you on your Wedding Day.

  • HOW far do you travel?

We travel to all areas of the North West (or further if feasible). There are 50 miles included free in the package ( to include 2 return journeys) and anywhere further is not a problem, just worked out by postcode on the computer and charged at an addition 70ppm.

  • IS it possible to have my trial sooner than 3 weeks before the wedding?

Yes, it is possible to have your trial a few weeks earlier however, it isn't recommended to have it much further away as a) it is better to have your hair at a similar length to how it will be on the day b) too far in advance will not guarantee you the same Make-Up Artist on your Wedding Day and c) we have found it is better for both yourself and your Make-Up Artist to have your trial quite fresh in your memories.

  • IS it possible to have my trial & my Wedding Day make-over done at different locations & do you come to hotels?

Yes, often brides live at a different address to their parents (or place that they are getting married from) and although we prefer to do the trial at the address to be used on the big day, it's not essential. Alternatively, brides often like to stay the night before at the hotel in which they are getting married and so again, it is quite usual for us to meet there on the morning to do the make-over's for the bridal party.

  • WHAT if I don't know what I want or don't like what you do?

We suggest you look through lots of magazines and select styles that you like, then your Make-Up Artist will go through them with you and say whether they're realistic or suitable for you. Alternatively, if you haven't seen anything you like, she will suggest styles which again, she thinks are suitable and together you can achieve a look you're happy with! If you don't like a hairstyle or your make-up you MUST say so as your Make-Up Artist won't be offended and will be more than happy to try other looks and stay with you until you are comfortable with the results.
